The garden reached the finals in the Daily Mail National Garden Competition, 2006.

There were over two thousand entries, and it was selected in the final six and was featured at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

A blue metal finalists plaque is displayed in the garden.

Professor David Stevens the head judge for the competition reviewed the garden :-

“Small gardens can be a challenge – microscopic plots are nearly impossible.

So, what can you do with a sloping yard where P1060955you can virtually touch all the boundaries with arms outstretched?

The answer is a horticultural potted paradise with a split – level garden, background music and plants to die for. Add to this artificial rock that is better than the real thing, a wildlife pond and carefully chosen statuary and you have something better than special. Ferns, clipped box, and Hostas make up just part of the plant palette.”
